TERMS AND JEWELRY CARE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If you would like to order a piece of jewelry please contact me (the Maker) by email – guillocheuse@gmail.com or phone.

I usually have some pieces in stock but if not please allow 2 to 3 weeks for a piece to be made to order.

Once a piece is ready to post I’ll email you an Invoice which you can pay by BANK TRANSFER, PAYPAL or CASH.

Materials used are Sterling Silver, Vitreous Enamel and Semi-precious Stones (ie, lapis lazuli, rutilated quartz, and the likes).

Pieces either have a polished silver surface, a satin finished silver surface or are oxidized (dark grey).

All jewelry is made by hand with various stages involved in the manufacture. Due to the nature of these jeweler making and enameling techniques, no two pieces are identical. There are natural variations that add to the character of this unique jewelry.

Jewelry is individually presented in the Maker’s logo imprinted boxes.

Jewelry will be packaged securely and sent by insured post, requiring a signature upon delivery. The Maker is responsible for the order until it is delivered and signed for.

Rings can be made to any standard size but once made, the size cannot be altered.

Bracelets are made to order based on your wrist circumference and once made, cannot be altered.

Different enamel colors can be requested but once made to order, cannot be returned or exchanged.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure your Atelier Guilloché jewelry can be worn and passed down for generations follow this guide for proper care and cleaning. Regularly wiping down jewelry with a soft cotton cloth after wearing is good practice for any of our pieces as it removes skin oils and daily dirt.

Please be mindful of storing and traveling with jewelry, as this is a common way pieces get scratched or damaged. Click on the specific materials below to view further care suggestions.

Sterling Silver – Regular wear is the best defense against tarnishing. When not wearing your pieces, clean them with a cotton cloth soaked in diluted dish detergent, using mild pressure applied in one direction. Avoid repetitive circular motions.

Oxidized Silver – Follow the same care suggestions as with Sterling Silver. Additionally, avoid silver polish or dip-style cleaning solutions, as these will remove the unique look of oxidation we apply to the jewelry.

Mixed Metal – For light cleaning, soak pieces in diluted dish detergent for several minutes, rinse well, and dry with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning, contact me or another authorized jeweler in your area.

Enamel can be washed in warm soapy water using a soft toothbrush to remove any dirt.

Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hard wearing, care should be taken not to drop, apply force or scratch the surface.

Gold plated or vermeil pieces should be gently rubbed with a jewelry polishing cloth to remove any tarnish.
